The Agentforce transformation has begun. You get a digital assistant that handles your administrative tasks for you while you go and get a coffee. As a down-to-earth Dutch person, your first thought is roughly this: the AI hype is at its peak, disappointments are to be expected, there are not that many practical applications yet, and how are all those investments in AI ever going to pay for themselves?

And yet, during the three days at the Salesforce event of the year in San Francisco, we also saw concrete examples, practical applications and many new possibilities. Take Tableau Next, for instance, a further development of the BI tool into an interactive analytical assistant. Vibe coding makes it possible to develop low code on the platform by simply entering prompts. Agents help take the administrative burden out of business processes and make expertise more important than being handy with software. Alongside new, AI-enriched tools, concrete use cases were discussed by renowned companies. Examples of hybrid (human/AI) business processes that use data on the Salesforce Platform and simply save time and money.
