This includes, among other things: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Budgeting: Drawing up a detailed financial plan that maps out the project&#8217;s expected income and expenditure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cost monitoring: Continuously monitoring the actual costs against the budget in order to spot financial overruns in good time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forecasts: Predicting future financial performance based on current data and trends.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invoicing and VAT handling: Ensuring timely and correct invoicing to customers and complying with tax obligations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>A common challenge within financial project management is obtaining accurate and timely information from the operational side of the project. Financial teams often complain that they have insufficient insight into the costs incurred during execution, which makes it difficult to maintain an up-to-date financial overview. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Operational Project Management: The Engine of Execution<\/h2>\n\n<p>Operational project management focuses on the practical execution and management of project activities.
